If you are looking to make extra income from your blog, website or social media channel then joining the Teachable Affiliate Program and referring your readers to Teachable for creating their own online courses can earn you extra income.

If you didn’t know already, Teachable is a platform powering thousands of online courses and creators have used this system to sell hundreds of thousands of dollars in training courses and tutorials.

Is the Teachable Affiliate Program an ideal fit for you to promote?

Decision Time

It’s up for you to decide if the Teachable Affiliate Program is a good fit for you, but if any segment of your target audience is considering creating courses or tutorials then the answer is probably “Yes”.

Send them to Teachable and earn money for the referral.

By the way, the Teachable Affiliate Program is available globally, not just to Australians and financial numbers are quoted in US Dollars.

How Much Does Teachable Pay For A Referral?

Teachable will pay you a commission of 30% for every single referral that converts to a paying customer, and this is recurring monthly income. For instance, if one of your referrals created a course on Teachable, then you would get paid 30% of their subscription every month. At the time of writing, monthly subscriptions range from $39 to $499 per month.

The Teachable Cookie

When you sign up for the Teachable Affiliate Program, you receive a unique tracking link. The link contains a unique Affiliate ID so that Teachable knows you sent traffic arriving on their website.

You use the tracking link on your website or social media to direct visitors to the merchant’s website.

The merchant (Teachable) stores your affiliate ID in a tiny text file (known as a cookie) in the visitor’s web browser. Cookies are used to track website visitors.

Cookie Life

Every cookie has an expiry date; likewise, Teachable puts a 90 Day Expiry on their cookie.

What this means in simple terms, is that if the person you referred purchases a hosting plan within 90 days then you get credited with the sale. The credit happens even if they didn’t click your link during future visits.

The period is known as the “Cookie Life” and 90 days is above average.

How and When Do You Get Paid?

Teachable pays commissions using Paypal on a monthly basis.
